DESCRIPTION
Compass Rose
The Compass Rose, also known as a wind rose, rose of the winds, or compass star, is a symbol found on compasses, maps, nautical charts, and monuments to indicate the cardinal directions-north, east, south, and west-along with their intermediate points. It also refers to the graduated markings on a traditional magnetic compass. Today, variations of the compass rose are present in nearly all navigation systems.

At McElroy Architecture, we incorporate a compass rose into every new library project, not only to provide students with a sense of direction but also to serve as a powerful metaphor-encouraging them to navigate their educational journey with purpose and always strive toward success.
