Southern University Alumni Center Master Plan
The Southern University Alumni Center Master Plan in 2008 was developed to foster discussion and garner support for the creation of an on-campus alumni center. Through case studies, the project team identified the optimal location on the existing campus, emphasizing a strong connection to both the campus core and the Mississippi River.
The concept was designed to meet the university’s current programmatic needs while also accommodating future expansion plans. Key considerations included pedestrian and vehicular accessibility, as well as ample on-site parking to support university events and gatherings.
